Be a body

This project is the result of collaboration with King Manichini, a leading company in the mannequins production, which has granted the use of its precious line Evanescence for the realization of an exhibition.

The aspect that the Egorova-Muresu duo wants
to highlight is the neutrality of the body of a mannequin, designed to enhance the merchandise he wears, an idealized, sci-fi, cyborg body. A body on which we project our desires and our potential.
To explore the surface of that body called desire the mannequin is covered with projected images, the photograph fixes the outcome, the video creates a rhythmic choreography punctuated by the sound of an analog metronome, the only material object of the installation.
