Smoke kills series consists in the recovery of the warning picture from cigarette packs, their reprint and relocation in the vintage frames recovered by the artist. Although the reference images ware clearly made in studio, several people recognized models as their parents, filing lawsuits against tobacco brands for the illegitimate use of photos.
Through the collection and recontextualization, the work aims to reflect on the iconographic power of the image.
