Trans-Siberian postcards

livre d’artiste

Trans-Siberian Postcards is an itinerant travel diary created on postcards and finalized in a dummy book form. Along the Trans-Siberian route, the artist chooses not to document her journey with photographs, but using existing images: from every city where she stops she sends a postcard on her address in Milan, so each postcard travels the same distance of their sender and recipient. Travel notes, images in words, often in contrast with images shown on the back. The project aims to re ect on the distance, recovering the physicality of the image journey, completely absent in the web era.
